I still absolutely love this film but after a second viewing it’s flaws are more apparent. The pacing is definitely slightly off towards the end of the first act and I feel it loses its way slightly but again the film triumphantly brings you back in with the positive performances and music sequences. It’s probably closer to a high 8.9 or low 9.1 but I couldn’t bring myself to lower the rating considering the exceptional performances, musical moments that break the mould of usual biopics and some hard hitting impactful moments too, especially towards the latter part of the third act.
