'Portrait Of A Lady On Fire' Review (3/5/2020)

Incredible! I haven't exactly worked all of it out in my head yet, in terms of the small timeline gaps, which is probably the point really (and what was that weird wedding dress silhouette thing towards the end?)

I Just loved the direction of each character throughout, they seemed to drift effortlessly through each scene.

The three main performances were excellent too, which makes me even more angry that the whole film was completely ignored by the Oscars...

Almost every aspect was to perfection, The visuals of each section, even if it was through the subtlety of each in house sequence, or the magnitude of those beach and cliff scenes.

AND what about their two final scenes together, the 'turn around' scene on the stairs, THEN the final shot of the whole film. Wasn't it just mesmerising but completely devastating at the same time ?
